OxyAlert Beta(圖1)-速報App

The App OxyAlert collects meteorological data worldwide and calculates the changes that occur in the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere to the place where you are. We know that the sudden decline and increase the oxygen content in the atmosphere can affect people as happens in high mountain climbers ascending very high peaks.

Generally human beings adapt to these changes without problems within a normal situation and if its health is good but when changes occur suddenly or are extreme. Health may be seriously compromised especially with elderly people and / or people with serious medical conditions.

The amount of oxygen in your area is calculated every six hours to three days away from a biometeorological model developed by the research group GeoBioMet University of Cantabria. Once the results obtained each data is subtracted over the figure obtained 24 hours before in order to get the increase or decrease in grams per cubic meter (g / m3) that will occur in your area. Both the differences and the values calculated for your location are presented in the corresponding graphs showing the App in sections and the Dispute Forecast Total Forecast

The differences are interpreted in terms of risk from tables to which correction factors for latitude and future situation is categorized in different levels apply.

The traffic light on the Widget App indicate the alert level at present. The signal updates its status every hour.

The green color represents the absence of significant changes in terms of public health. The yellow indicates a risk raising and red indicates a situation of extreme risk.

The App has an option enabled by default in order to automatically send notifications that can be disabled from the app settings. When the app launches an alert, automatically it presents a questionnaire with eight questions you can answer. You can access this questionnaire by clicking “Weather influenced you today?...”.

In either case, your help is very important at this point because to complete the questionnaire allow us to maintain a continuous evaluation of the system and improve it.

The purpose of the app is that each user can observe how atmospheric oxygen changes affect him and if he is meteor-sensitive to hypoxia (low oxygen) or hiperoxias (increased oxygen). Previous studies have linked atmospheric hypoxia situations with cerebrovascular disease, migraines and headaches, and some allergies while hyperoxia situations have been associated with bronchial asthma, hypertension and acute respiratory infections and certain joint pains and rheumatic.

Once identified the types of changes that affect you, you can use the App to anticipate the impact of those changes on your mental and emotional fitness and take in advance measures to mitigate and minimize the impact.
